Painted magnets are a great way to add a unique touch and some personality to your fridge or another magnetic surface! They make a great gift to make for someone else, or just to make for yourself as well! I like to buy my little canvas magnets from Hobby Lobby. They sell the canvas magnets in circles, squares, hexagons, and occasionally other shapes such as stars or hearts. In this post, I will share some of the painted magnets that I have created, to help inspire you!
Sunrise Magnet
I originally made this painting on a big wooden sign, but I loved the design so I decided to make a magnet too! I first sketched out where I wanted my lines to be with pencil, then added one color at a time. I ended with the white outlines and details.
Butterfly Magnet
This butterfly magnet is super cute and was fun to make. You can make it in any color, but pink is my favorite! I first drew an outline of a butterfly with pencil, then I added one shade of pink at a time. I did the background second, finishing with the black outline and details.
Flower-Heart Magnets
I made these cute flower-heart magnets for my friends for Valentine’s Day! They made a great, unique gift that they loved. I first painted the backgrounds red. After the background was dry, I traced the hearts with pencil, and added each of the flowers. I then added some polka dots to tie it all together.
Spring Flowers Magnet
I made this cute spring flowers magnet as a mini version of one of my bigger paintings. You can find find the bigger version in my last post Seasonal Painting Ideas. I started with the blue background, allowing that to fully dry before adding the grass. I added one flower at a time, finishing with the little sun.
Hearts Magnet
This hearts magnet is super simple yet cute! I blended different shades of pink and purple for the background. After that was dry, I added different colored mini hearts and finished with little dots.
Fall Leaves Magnet
This fall leaves magnet is perfect to help decorate your fridge for the fall season! For this design, I left the background as the plain white canvas. I added the tree and let it dry completely, before adding the different colored leaves.
Pumpkin Magnet
This pumpkin magnet also makes for great decor to help spruce up your fridge for the fall season! I started by painting the background blue. Next, I added the pumpkin and used a darker shade for the lines to give some dimension. I added the stem and little leaf, followed by the grass and finished with the clouds.
Love your designs!
