After you create your beautiful paintings, you want to show them off! A great way to show them off is by displaying them in your home. I have so many paintings hung up around my apartment. It’s a great way to express yourself and make your place unique.
Hang at Eye-Level
By displaying your art at eye-level, it allows for it to be easily admired. For the average height, the center of your painting should be about 57-60 inches above the ground. This applies in most cases, but it also can vary depending on the size of the wall, as well as the size of the piece.
Make a Gallery Wall
A great way to display multiple paintings is by making a gallery wall! You can go with a theme, a certain color, or just choose some paintings that you think look nice together. I had this blank wall in my apartment that I decided to turn into a gallery wall. I am still working on changing some of them out, so some of the paintings are a little random right now, but it’s slowly coming together!
Helpful tip: Draw out your plan on paper with measurements, so you can figure out where to place the holes!
Group Similar Colors Together
I placed these paintings next to a framed poster I have, creating a purple theme. The different shades of purple, along with the black and white details, makes these pieces compliment each other nicely. This arrangement is above my couch, which is a great place to show off your work if people come over!
(I used holes that were already in the wall, so that’s why they’re not fully aligned)
Displaying Art in Unusual Spaces
Although the general rule is to hang art at eye-level, unusual spaces can be brought to life with the right piece! I have a little space above my cabinets in my kitchen, that I decided to fill with a couple paintings. I hung this cute smiley face painting above the sink. They are higher than recommended, but I think they fit great up there!
Remember that it’s YOUR Space!
There are all sorts of recommendations, but it ultimately comes down to what you like. Art is a way of self expression, so display it however you like!

That’s a very good idea. I never thought of creating a canvas wall.
