My Reading Journey
Growing up, reading was my strong suit, but I never quite enjoyed it. When we were forced to do reading minutes in elementary school, I dreaded it and complained about it until my parents forced me to do it so that they could sign my paper. This went on until fourth grade.
As a reading group, we were forced to read Esperanza Rising by Pam Muñoz Ryan. Something about this book changed the way that I saw books and felt while reading them. As a reader, you get to live in a fictional story as someone else for the duration of book. A reader gets to live out of body, and that is the most amazing part of books.
A New Reading Community’s Goals
The point of this brand is to create a close knit community to share book recommendations and talk about everything that one needs to know when getting into the world of reading. I want to share tips and tricks for getting involved in a kindle as well as kindle unlimited. Right now I am trying to find a current read, and my favorite genre is young adult and romance.
Stay Up to Date With the New Reading Community
Social media is where I will post a lot more often and keep everyone updated! I will be posting everything from the books that I am currently reading to any news involving the book community. I also plan to share quick reviews, favorite quotes, and honest reactions as I move through my TBR list. This space will be used to create that reading community, so I want it to be interactive. Hoping to start conversations and connect with others here.
