Every furniture flipper has experienced how painful it is to have a piece listed for weeks with no interest. You may have used the highest quality materials, spend hours paying attention to every little detail, and took amazing listing photos, but none of it matters if you use a paint color that people do not like.
Don’t get me wrong– if you have a specific vision for a piece and it includes using a unique paint color, go for it. Ultimately, you can do whatever you want. However, if your goal is to get your piece to sell as fast as possible, it is helpful to know what colors are most popular so you get as much interest as you can on your piece.
In this post, I will highlight three popular Sherwin William paint colors that people love, and how you can decide if this paint color is best for your piece.
1. Accessible Beige (7036)

This is by far one of the safest colors to choose for your furniture flipping projects. This color is great for any furniture pieces that have wooden accents.
One of my favorite combinations for furniture flips is to use this color with pole wrap. This is a great way to add character to your piece and increase interest.

2. Urbane Bronze (7048)

This is another great neutral color to use if you want your pieces to sell quickly. This color isn’t as popular as the cream color, however all of the pieces I have painted in this color were sold within days.
This paint color goes well with any piece that has sharp, masculine features. If your furniture piece has any darker wooden features, it can go really well will the Urbane Bronze color.

3. Retreat (6207)

This sage-colored paint is a great choice if you want to add color to your piece. Not only does it instantly add character to your piece, but it is a popular paint color that many people love.
If you have a dresser with unique details, this paint color can instantly make those details stand out. Like the other paint colors, it helps if you have some sort of wood accent that you can pair with the paint color.
Below is one of the fastest selling pieces I have ever sold on facebook using this color.

Conclusion
Overall, these three paint colors are great options to consider if you are wanting your pieces to sell faster.
There is nothing wrong with using more vibrant colors for your pieces. Sometimes, that is exactly what the piece needs in order to stand out. Sometimes, a piece shines the best with no paint at all.
Trust your eye, keep refining your process, and don’t be afraid to experiment. Each project is another opportunity to get better and improve your craft.
