ABOUT ME
I began refurbishing furniture in the summer of 2023 after finding inspiration from a video. Initially, it started as a hobby that I thought I would forget about like a lot of other hobbies I started. But to my surprise, I loved the process and the ability to be creative with the furniture pieces. Here I am years later, and I am still working on new projects!
As a full time student at the University of Northern Iowa who is also involved in a variety of other organizations, my time to work on personal projects is limited. When I do get the chance, I’m constantly learning with every project, and I’m excited to share the lessons I’ve learned along the way and tips and tricks I continue to discover.
I am excited to document the process of my personal projects and share the practical lessons I learn along the way through my blogs. Additionally I will use TikTok to create engaging content about my furniture flipping projects.
More than furniture
Furniture flipping is more than sanding and painting. To me, the process has taught me how to slow down, look deeper than the surface, and use problem solving to bring a vision to life. You may imaging the process of flipping furniture to be simple, yet there are always unexpected problems that arise. Whether it’s a tough-to-remove finish or damage hidden beneath the surface, you never know what you’re getting yourself into until you start. While it can be frustrating, it is also what makes the process so rewarding.
My goal is to help inspire and motivate anyone looking to tackle their own projects. I focus on flipping furniture, but what I hope you take away from Repeat Furniture is this: what looks worn out can always be made new again.
