Smart and Healthy Snacking

Recently I have been finding myself not sticking to my usual routine. I have turned my snacking into a sweet treat pleasure. I feel myself looking forward to these sweet treats but as soon as I eat, I don’t feel fulfilled. Even knowing that choosing nutritious snacks can help keep your energy levels up, curb cravings, and provide essential nutrients, now what though?

Here are some tips to that have recently help me make better snacking choices:

  • Choose Whole Foods: Opt for snacks that are minimally processed and rich in nutrients.
  • Watch Portion Sizes: Be mindful of portion sizes to avoid overeating. Use small bowls or containers to control portions.
  • Stay Hydrated: Sometimes thirst is mistaken for hunger. Stay hydrated by drinking water throughout the day.
  • Mindful Eating: Pay attention to your hunger cues and avoid eating out of boredom or stress.
  • Plan Ahead: Keep healthy snacks on hand to avoid reaching for unhealthy options when hunger strikes.
