The first team to clinch their spot in the 2025-26 Walter Cup Playoffs was the Boston Fleet. Boston got their spot on March 29, 2026 with a 4-2 win against the two time reigning champ, the Minnesota Frost. The Fleet are currently in second place with a record of 20-5-3 and 58 points. Boston made it to the Walter Cup finals in the inaugural season but barely missed the playoffs in the 2024-25 season.

The second team to clinch a spot in the playoffs was the Montreal Victoire. Montreal got their playoff spot on April 1, 2026 with a 3-0 win against the Vancouver Goldeneyes. The Victoire had an incredible season with a 21-5-2 record and 60 points. This will be their third consecutive season making it to the playoffs.

The last team that has clinched a spot so far is the Minnesota Frost. Minnesota has won the Walter Cup the first two seasons of the league and will be looking to keep their championship title with a third win. The Frost got their spot in the playoffs on April 4, 2026 with a 6-5 win against the Vancouver Goldeneyes. They currently have a record of 16-8-4 and 49 points.

The Seattle Torrent was the first team to be eliminated from the 2025-26 playoffs. They currently have a record of 8-16-4 and 27 total points. This was their first season as a team in the PWHL and I’m sure will have remarkable growth next season. Similarly, the next team to be eliminated was the Vancouver Goldeneyes. With 2 games left to play, the Goldeneyes currently have a 10-14-4 record and 32 points.

In the race to clinch the last playoff spot are the Ottawa Charge, Toronto Sceptres, and the New York Sirens. The Ottawa Charge are currently in 4th place in the league with a record of 15-12-1 and 39 total points. Shortly behind them are the Toronto Sceptres with a record of 11-12-5 and 37 points. In 6th place are the New York Sirens. The Sirens currently have a record of 11-14-3 and 34 total points. It will be a close call to see who clinches that last playoff spot, and the playoffs are sure to be entertaining either way.
