A lot of what Matthew 6:25–34 explains is how God operates within the world we live in. His grace and His ability to provide are already intertwined with our reality, so there’s no need to worry. That is what every believer should understand about Him. Another reason for anxious thoughts is that we often bring tomorrow’s worries or even the worries of next week into our present reality, when they should be left for their own time. Planning is good, but only until it creates tension in our minds. Planning should bring you peace, not steal it from you.
