Christian Bible Growth

  • Life is rigged

Although Jeremiah 29:11 may have been written in the context of God speaking specifically to Israel, I believe that God uses His Word to speak to the context of the situations we face as well. We all have free will to make decisions and must bear the consequences whether good or bad of our own choices and sometimes those of others. But one thing to understand is that God already saw it all coming. He is the ultimate source of authority and has already planned your destiny before you were even born.

  • Divine Strength

As a believer, it is very easy to slip into the mentality of perfectionism and performance when carrying out God’s will in your life, especially when you’re trying to represent Him. 2 Corinthians 12:9 makes it known that we don’t have to rely on performance, but instead allow God’s divine strength to carry us in our weakness.

  • The evidence of true faith

Faith isn’t just wishful thinking; it’s an action that demonstrates the evidence of what you believe. Sometimes, as believers, we think things will simply come to us. And while opportunities do arise and things happen by the grace of God, we still have to do our part. Our actions become evidence of the faith we profess, proof that we truly trust in the One who works all things out through His love and grace.

  • One anxious thought at a time

A lot of what Matthew 6:25–34 explains is how God operates within the world we live in. His grace and His ability to provide are already intertwined with our reality, so there’s no need to worry. That is what every believer should understand about Him. Another reason for anxious thoughts is that we often bring tomorrow’s worries or even the worries of next week into our present reality, when they should be left for their own time. Planning is good, but only until it creates tension in our minds. Planning should bring you peace, not steal it from you.

  • How to overcome the guilt of sin

Sometimes, as strong believers, we find ourselves in the battle with sin during a weak moment, which eventually leads us to compromise our core values and sin against God. Instead of feeling condemned, the best way to handle our shortcomings is to simply acknowledge and confess (1 John 1:9). We all fall short of the glory of God, so instead of sitting in shame, be quick to confess to another trusted believer who can help you through your shortcomings.

  • The war between good and evil isn’t what you think it is

Ephesians 6:12 talks about things concerning a different reality that we cannot see. This is where the true battle lies in the world we live in. The quickest way to engage with darkness and allow it to consume you is by fighting evil with evil. This is why Ephesians 6:12 says we are not fighting against flesh and blood. We shouldn’t fight evil with evil, because doing so means engaging with evil spirits, which will ultimately lead to a more chaotic situation.

  • Renewing your mind in Christ

Most people aren’t aware of this, but Romans 12:2, when applied to your mind, actually helps you hear the voice of God more accurately as you go through life. It’s not just about renewing your mind so that your thoughts are pure; it’s also about being able to discern the voice of God more accurately. By doing this, you can have a deeper relationship with the Father and experience supernatural guidance in your life. Hearing and learning God’s voice only goes as far as you’re willing to learn and be obedient to Him. How deep are you willing to go in your relationship with God?

  • What joy looks like when life gets tough

Often, we go through trials with the mindset that everything is over and there’s no hope. The truth is, it’s not over, and there’s always hope. James 1:2-4 explains how we should handle our downfalls and how God uses these experiences to produce something good in us! Knowing and understanding this truth should bring great joy. It’s one thing to have this knowledge and understanding, and it’s a completely different thing to live it out. Next time you go through something challenging in life, remember this verse and trust God with what He’s doing inside of you. Your entire perspective on your trials will change.

  • How to overcome any trial in your way

In my personal life, I have experienced many trials and tribulations. In the moment, it may feel as though life is unfair, and we often question God and His plans. However, one thing we should all trust and understand is God’s promises. Romans 8:28 is a verse that lays out God’s promise that for those who love Him and trust Him, all things will work out for our good in the end. We must love God unconditionally, just as He loves us unconditionally, and we will see that He is faithful to His promises, and how all things even the bad, truly do work out for our good!

  • How To Prioritize Your Faith

As believers, we often get overwhelmed by the demands of our lives. We want to make time for Jesus but end up pushing Him off for another day. However, Matthew 6:33 tells us otherwise. In my own life, I used to prioritize my time and tasks, hoping to make space for God. But day after day, I found myself feeling tired and empty, never wanting to pray or read my Bible. Then one day, God spoke to me. Instead of focusing on the next task on your to-do list, seek Me first, and I will show you what to do next. Matthew 6:33 isn’t just about prioritizing; it’s about the spiritual aspect, too. Before you watch this video, understand that the Holy Spirit wants to be involved in everything you do because God is present in all things, whether you believe in Him or not. I hope this video helps you see how applying His Word to your life can transform your perspective!
