To start off this adventure, I think it’s best you get to know a little more about me. As I mentioned previously, I am in my third year at the University of Northern Iowa. I have lived in small-town Iowa my whole life. While Iowa may have endearing characteristics, I believe America has much more to explore. From the towering mountains of Colorado to sandy beaches in Florida, I have seen it all!
As of September 2024, I have visited 27 states! Visiting all 50 states has been at the top of my bucket list for years, and I can’t believe I am already over halfway there! Of the states I have visited, Hawaii is BY FAR my favorite. Hawaii deserves all the love and recognition for its natural beauty. I will have a blog post fully dedicated to my trip to Oahu, so stay tuned for that.
The Midwest and specifically Iowa will forever have my heart. I do not plan to glaze over all of the things that the Midwest has to offer. I will have many blog posts discussing the allure of the Midwest and the many hidden gems in Iowa.
When I am not traveling, I am usually outdoors in other ways. For example, I grew a garden this summer with my mom, grandma, and sister – and a pumpkin and sweet corn patch with my dad! In my free time, I love to watch TV, spend time with my friends and family, bake, and read.
I have got big plans for TRAVELLA! I can’t wait to see how this adventure goes! I plan to upload a variety of blog posts, so there should be something for everyone. I will do a series regarding the different places I have visited, as well as regular insightful posts about traveling and exploring America!
