RBC Heritage Best Bets
After a fantastic master’s tournament, there is a quick turnaround as we head to Harbour Town for the RBC Heritage. For this year’s RBC Heritage, I will be helping out with my Top Picks, Top 10’s, and Sleepers. My method for these will primarily be past finishes, and how well each golfer plays right now. Top Picks: RBC Heritage Best Bets
Here, we will focus on two golfers: Scottie Scheffler, and Patrick Cantlay.
Scottie Scheffler: the 2024 champion and still playing at the top of his game following a 4th-place finish at the masters. Also, Has held the crown as the number 1 player for 2 years. Can never count him out as a top pick. Odds: Top 10: -275, Top 5: -125, Winner: +360.
Patrick Cantlay: Holding a position in the top 15 in the world and hasn’t missed a cut since June 2024. Cantlay has played in 7 RBC Heritage tournaments since 2017 and has finished in the top 10 6 times and finishing Top 3 5 times. Cantlay has a pretty good grasp on Harbour Town. Odds: Top 10: +160, Top 5: +350, Winner: +2000.
Top 10’s
I am picking 2 golfers here to place in the top 10. Collin Morikawa, and Ludvig Aberg
Collin Morikawa: Placing the top 17 in each of the six tournaments he’s played this year, Morikawa is playing at the top of his game. Placing top 10 last season at the RBC Heritage, it is apparent he has a good chance at placing in the top 10 if not the top 5. Odds: Top 10: -105, Top 5: +210, Winner: +1100
Ludvig Aberg: Coming off of a 7th place finish at the Master’s, the 25-year-old is in prime form to place in the top 10 at this year’s RBC Heritage. Ludvig has played in only 1 RBC Heritage and placed 10th. Odds: Top 10: +115, Top 5: +230, Winner: +1200.
Sleeper picks
Sahith Theegala: To me, this is the best bet of the tournament. At +7500 to win, Theegala is a great option. In each of the last 2 seasons, Theegala has placed 5th and 2nd. As the 27th-ranked golfer, this is a great bet. Odds: Top 5:+1100, Top 10:+450.
Jason Day: Day is playing great golf this season, with 3 top 10’s in his first 7 starts. Finishing 8th at the Masters, I am confident Day will play well in this tournament. Odds: Top 10: +275, Top 5: +600, Winner: +3500.
