In a refreshing change of pace, FX’s The League centers around a group of individuals in a fantasy football league together. In this raunchy comedy a group of friends will stop at nothing to secure victory over each other. With fantasy football heading the plot of every episode, and with guest appearances from several NFL stars, this show has all you need in preparation for the big games on Sunday.
The League features Nick Kroll as Ruxin, Paul Scheer as Andre, Stephen Rannazzisi as Kevin, Mark Duplass as Pete, Katie Aselton as Jennie and Jon Lajoie as Taco. With frequent guest appearances from Jason Mantzoukas and Seth Rogen. This cast never failed to deliver a funny episode. Though there have been no episodes since 2015, the show continues to bring laughter to football fans, and is frequently watched every NFL season by its loyal fans.
The League highlights the Fantasy Football League with brothers Kevin and Taco, Kevin’s wife Jennie, and their friends Ruxin Pete and Andre. The group has been friends since high school, and has kept together through a fantasy football league. The relationship between these friends seems strong, however after a few episodes it may seem unclear how these characters are still friends.
