Psych is a Buddy Comedy following Shawn Spencer the fake psychic detective that aired from 2006-2014. Since then three movies have been released. A fourth movie hasn’t been officially announced, but many signs point to the film being produced. Star James Roday Rodriguez has said that there are “flickers of light.”
The fourth Psych movie was supposed to begin in 2023, but scheduling conflicts prevented production. This leaves fans wondering if the show will get another feature or not. It’s been alleged that Maggie Lawson (Juliet O’hara in the show) said that the movie was going to be out in 2025. Writer Steve Franks has shared that the script for the movie is ready, and fans should express to Peacock that they want a Psych 4.
So if the production does begin, when will fans know? One of the later films was announced in May by Peacock. There’s also possibility that the movie will be announced in June at “Psych Con.” Psych fans still hoping for a new movie should continue to keep their eyes peeled for an announcement of the new movie. Though it news has been quiet lately, with the high demand it’s likely that Psych will receive a fourth film at some point.
