The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives Thoughts & Opinions

Reality TV thrives on drama, and The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives delivers it in full. I went into season two thinking the first season had already set the bar high, but wow, I didn’t expect even more twists, tension, and jaw-dropping moments this time around.

When The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives first hit screens, it instantly grabbed attention. What began as a group of Mormon moms sharing their lives on TikTok’s “Mom Talk” quickly unraveled into scandals, fractured friendships, and marriages in the spotlight. That drama is what gave the show its foundation, and from the very first season, it delivered a mix of raw emotions and headline-making moments. Season one set the tone, but season two proved that the stakes and the drama could climb even higher.

Least Favorite

From the start, Whitney has been one of my least favorite cast members. Season one didn’t change my mind, and season two only made those feelings stronger. She still refuses to take accountability for her actions, and I was honestly surprised she stayed with her husband after his scandal. On top of that, I can’t wrap my head around why she’d return to Mom Talk after being the one who left the group in the first place.

Most Likable

Then there’s Mayci, who feels like the heart of the show. She avoids getting dragged into unnecessary drama and seems genuinely supportive of the other women. Unlike some, she comes across as authentic in her friendships, not fake. On top of that, she’s thriving outside the show with the successful launch of her Baby Mama company and book. Out of everyone, Mayci stands out as my favorite she’s real, relatable, and drama-free.

From Liked to Disliked

Demi was someone I respected in season one because she was strong and willing to stand up for herself when something felt wrong. But season two showed a different side. Her tone toward the other women became aggressive, and she started acting like she was the leader of the group instead of part of it. Seeing her team up with Whitney again after all their issues in season one wasn’t surprising, but it definitely highlighted how both of them are becoming more and more isolated from the rest.

Looking Ahead for Season 3

Even with all the frustrating moments, I can’t deny that this show keeps me hooked. Jessi’s rumored scandal already has me curious, and if season three follows the same pattern, the drama will only get wilder. On a lighter note, seeing Jen and Whitney pop up on Dancing with the Stars was a fun surprise. It’s cool to see familiar faces outside the bubble of the show, and I’ll admit, I didn’t expect them to actually be good dancers.

My Rating

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️4/5

The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives is messy, dramatic, and addictive in the best way. Some of the cast members are hard to root for, and their choices can be frustrating, but that’s also what keeps the show from being boring. Season two raised the intensity and delivered constant drama, making it impossible to look away. It’s entertaining and filled with drama, but a few of the women’s actions take away from the enjoyment. Still, if you love reality TV with real stakes and plenty of chaos, this show is absolutely worth watching.
