Leave Whitney Alone: RHOSLC S5 Ep 1 Recap

The lovely and talented ladies of Salt Lake City are back and better than ever. Now that Monica is gone of course … or should I say Reality Von (Tea)se. Before getting into the new season make sure to check out the Salt Lake City Housewife’s Best Moments. Season 5 kicks off strong and in case you missed anything, here is what you missed on the first episode:

Start of the Episode:

The amazing episode starts off with Lisa throwing a Valentine’s Day party. She is calling this party “Besos” because she is serving her tequila, Vida, there. Of course, there are no boys allowed at this party. Only Lisas girlfriends are invited (with the exception of Whitney).

Mary is one of the first people to arrive. She arrives with Angie out of all people, which was really shocking. Apparently those two are friends ever since Angie told Mary that she had make-up on her teeth during the reunion. Usually, Mary is kind of cold to the new girls, so it was the last person I was expecting her to walk in with.

The next housewife of Salt Lake City to walk in is Heather (in a stunning outfit I should add), and she brought her friend Britney for back-up. Little did Heather know that Britney was going to need her back-up. This is because Britney walked up to the new Housewife, Bronwyn, and called her fancy, high-fashioned coat a costume. The new girl, and oddly Mary, got defensive and said it was not a costume but fashion. Mary then proceeds to roast this girl in the confessionals, which is classic Mary.

Trouble is Coming:

Meredith Marks is the next to arrive. The difference about Meredith is that she is coming to this party looking to confront Whitney. Whitney had the AUDACITY to sell bath bombs, even after Meredith said she wanted to sell bath products at the reunion. When will Whitney learn to not come for Meredith’s bath? Also, Meredith is upset for being blamed for the stuff Reality Von Tease did and wants an apology.

Whitney Rose, a new homeowner, then shows up to the party and things turn south for the girls. Meredith goes up to confront Whitney about the bath bombs and the Reality Von Tease stuff and demands an apology. Overhearing this conversation, Angie goes up to Meredith and demands that she apologies to her. Meredith asks for what, and Angie pulls out a large scroll full of things she wants an apology for. Which then leads to a fight were Meredith refuses to engage which sets the tone for the dinner party.

The First Dinner Party Back:

The girls are back and are eating dinner. Everything is going good until the scroll gets brought up. That is when Angie and Meredith get back into things. Everything from last season gets stirred up again, and all the ladies join in on the fight. Unfortunately for Whitney, all the girls except for Angie are out for her blood. Heather is mad at Whitney because of what she said about Heather’s book. Lisa, the hostess of the party, is mad because Whitney went on a podcast and called her a Villian. And we all know why Meredith is mad at this point. In the midst of all the fighting, there is a point where Lisa stands up and yells at Angie, because Angie choose Whitney’s side.

Bronwyn and Mary are keeping quiet during all of this; however, they are still providing great reactions to the fighting around them. You can also see people at other tables trying to listen in on the fights, which I find to be hilarious.

Whitney, after sitting through minutes of people confronting her about things she has done in the past, flips off the hostess of the party. She then proceeds to leave the party with Angie. And just like that, the season started off with a bang. I would expect nothing less from the Housewives of Salt Lake City.
