Stay in the shadows with this commander. Taeko, the Patient Avalanche is a ninja commander that accrues tons of value as your creatures hit and run. Taeko gets a +1/+1 counter each time a creature leaves the battlefield without dying. This caters to the Ninjitsu ability which is a flavor win. Taeko also can make creatures unlockable when he attacks which can help push damage through to beat your opponent’s down with your ninja squad. Creatures
Ninjas with the Ninjitsu ability are going to be very important to add because of the baseline synergy with Taeko.
Dour Port-Mage isn’t a ninja but also triggers when creatures leave the battlefield getting more value from your creatures leaving.
Changeling Outcast is unblockable letting the ninjas fly in without any issues.
Card Draw
Just like Admiral Beckett Brass, cards that trigger off of combat damage will be great in this deck.
Ingenious Prodigy is a notable include because it has skulk. It will enable your ninjas and draw cards at the same time. If it runs out counters, you will be able to pick it up with a ninja and play it again to draw more.
Ramp
Mana rocks are going to be way to advance your mana during the early turns.
Utilizing Wayfarer’s Bauble and Solemn Simulacrum will help get more lands in to play.
Patchwork Banner helps pump ninjas to push more damage while fixing and tapping for mana.
Board Wipes
Board wipes that don’t destroy your ninjas are going to be tier one to add.
If you would like to add more board wipes Blasphemous Edict, Consuming Tide, and Damnation aren’t going to be break symmetry but are still amazing in the deck.
Deck All-Stars
Three Tree City provides a huge mana advantage since ninjas will be a common creature type in this deck.
Shrieking Drake can bounce itself to your hand, triggering Taeko for only one mana. Cunning Evasion also can help bounce creatures to trigger Taeko as well.
Gossip’s Talent has card selection, bounce effects, and the ability to make your creatures unblockable. All of these effects are wanted in this deck!
