Welcome! I’m Maci Swanson, a photographer based in Cedar Falls, IA and also a student at University of Northern Iowa with a strong Passion for Photography. My Photography Journey began a few years ago when I got my first camera, Fast forward a few years and I have developed a love for visual storytelling and creating beautiful images.

My photography style blends creativity with documentary storytelling, capturing candid, authentic moments with a unique, artistic perspective that brings each image to life. You could call it organic, I love getting candids and natural photos that really capture emotion.

When I’m not behind the camera you will find me with my dog Cosmo or at University of Northern Iowa where I am currently working towards obtaining my B.A. In Interactive Digital Studies.

Through my studies at UNI I have been given opportunities to use my camera more and further my knowledge in photography and photojournalism. At UNI, I also have learned the Digital Advertising and Marketing Strategies to build and run my own brand!

I also recently took on a the Position as head photographer for the Northern Iowan Newspaper At UNI!

I’m always eager to learn and grow, both as a photographer and as an individual.
