A Look Into a Fall Weekend In Minnesota

I spend last weekend in my hometown of Stillwater, Minnesota, In the midst of peak fall foliage I was able to take out my Sony A6100 and capture some of the fall moments from the weekend.

Here are a few of my favorites from the weekend!

Stillwater Minnesota – St Croix Boomsite

I arrived in Stillwater late Friday night, the next day on Saturday I spent some the day in the warmth of my home with the pups, It was a very chilly weekend in Minnesota — I went from 75 degrees and sunny in Cedar Falls to 50 degrees and windy in Stillwater. Despite the cold weather, I pushed through and got outside to try and capture some of the fall vibes and colors. I took some pictures around my parents house and then headed to St Croix Boom site to get a good look at the fall colors on the river. This is one of my favorite spots to take photos in Stillwater.

Aamodts Apple Farm

On Sunday I visited Aamodts Apple Orchard with where I got an apple donut and apple cider. We walked around through the apple orchard and also saw some goats. I went here a ton growing up so It was lots of fun to go back and relive some memories.

Harvest Fest

In addition, me and some friends ventured Downtown Stillwater Minnesota to take a peak at the annual Harvest Fest.

Stillwater Minnesotas Harvest Fest is an annual celebration of Fall featuring a variety of events and celebrations for everyone. This includes a Parade, Craft Fair, Many food trucks and vendors, Live Music, and the famous giant Pumpkin competition and pumpkin drop where they drop a massive pumpkin from a crane. It is surly a unique but memorable tradition that brings the community together.
