With most situations the question of whether or not it is worth it, depends on how you use it. Overall, a Cricut maker is worth because you will have it no matter what. Whether you are a teacher who is decorating a classroom, or a crafter, there is always something to make with a Cricut. In this post, I will outline the pros and cons to owning a Cricut.

- When I first got my machine, I had no idea what I was doing but after a few YouTube videos, I finally got it figured out!
- Turn your hobby into a side hustle
- Although I have not got to this point yet, the thought has crossed my mind. If you find that you really like making things and creating, you can use it to make some money on the side.
Cons: Why is it not worth it?
- The Cricut Design Space can be a hassle sometimes
- Everything you do with your machine runs through the Cricut Design App on your computer or device. While the app gives you many opportunities to create, the app can be glitchy which can affect how much you use your machine
- Storage
- With your machine, comes a lot of extra materials. These can consist of tools, vinyl, blank cups, keychains, paper, and much more. Finding the space and storage system to keep you organized can be difficult.
- The Cost
- The cost of the machine can be a turn away for most people. Machines can run around $300 depending on the model you get. With the machine plus the materials, and if you subscribe to the Cricut membership, it can become an expensive hobby overall.
To answer the question: Is a Cricut Machine worth it? The only answer is it depends on how you want to use it. Being a student in college, I found that having my Cricut has allowed me to take a break from the stress of school and focus on something else.
