Are you looking to for a fun way to spice up your front door space for Christmas? Well I got just the idea for you! These cute and easy porch pots. They do not require many items to create, and you can get as creative as you want with them! I will share how I made mine, but feel free to create yours however you would like.

Where did I get my supplies?

Everything that I used for these is from Ferguson’s Garden Center in Spirit Lake, IA. But, you can grab any of these things from your local garden center. Ferguson’s offers an actual class tutorial on how to make these, which I have gone to many times, so I think I am a credible source to show you how to create these. All my fun, fake add-ins I have accumulated from the past classes I went to. All the fresh greenery I was able to purchase at Ferguson’s in a bundle. Go into your local garden center, and they can help you find everything you need.

What do I need?

Steps to create a pot:

First, place dirt in the bottom of your pot. We use the same dirt year after year, since we always make a porch pot each Christmas season.

Next, you will choose the tallest spruce tip, and place toward the back of the pot. The spruce tip should be about 3 inches from the back of the pot. Then take two smaller spruce tips, and place them on each side of the pot. Place them about three inches from the right and left side of the pot.

Next, I decided to add my two burch logs in. I placed one towards the back of the pot, and one more towards the front. But, feel free to place these wherever you wish.

After that I added in my mixed greens. In this bundle there is a variety of different types of greenery. You can play around with it, and place it wherever you wish. I placed most of mine towards the front of the pot, to make it look fuller.

After that I added in all my decorations. I added three different sized pinecones around the pot. Then, placed two sparkly sticks in the back of my pot. I want these to stick out of the back of each side. Next, I then also added some cranberry sticks scattered around the pot. I stuck one in the front and two towards the back.

Lastly, I added a bow to the front of my pot to spice it up a little. I then placed these by the front door. I did make two, so I could place one on both sides of the door. This is such a fun way to add some Christmas decorations to the outside of your house, without putting in too much work, like putting up Christmas lights.
