I recently took a trip to The Patch located in Cedar Falls, IA. This is a pumpkin patch that offers a variety of different things not just pumpkins. In this post I will be reviewing The Patch!

What all does The Patch have to offer?

Of course they have tons of different pumpkins, ranging from small to large. They have a big area of different pumpkins to choose from. They also have an area full of photo props and games. You do have to pay to get into this section, so we did not go in there this day, but I would love to go back sometime and check this part out. They also had a little retail store full of items from different local businesses. They had tons of fall candles. I really wanted to buy one, but I already have so many candles at home! They also sold baked goods from Bambinos Bakery, which is one of my favorite bakery’s in the Cedar Valley. So of course i grabbed a cookie!

How much does it cost?

It does not cost anything to look at the pumpkins, but to go into the games and photo prop area it was six dollars. Most of the bigger pumpkins costs depended on how much they weighed. We got two big Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins priced at $0.69 a pound. We got one that was 20 pounds so cost $13.80 and one that weighed 25.25 pounds costing $17.42. The small mini decorative pumpkins were 3 for $8. I also got a small white pumpkin, called a snowball for $4.

When are they open?

The Patch is open in the Fall from September 20th to November 1st. They are open Monday- Friday from 1-6pm and Saturday- Sunday from 10am-6pm.

Where is it located?

The Patch is located near downtown Cedar Falls. The address is 305 Roosevelt Street, Cedar Falls, IA 50613.

What did I do with the pumpkins I got?

I got two big Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins and unfortunately the squirrels ate one of them before I could carve it. But, I ended up carving the other one with my boyfriend. The snowball pumpkin I got I ended up painting it with a fun design for Halloween. The 3 little pumpkins I got I used as decorations on our kitchen table.

Would I recommend The Patch to others?

Of course I would! I loved it! This is such a fun date spot or a spot to take your family. They have stuff to do for all ages. Anyone in the family would enjoy the patch!
