Are you looking for an easy DIY craft to be used as decoration around the house? I have just the thing for you! These pumpkin candle stands only require a few different items. All you need is paint, a wine glass, and a fake candle! So cute and easy to make!
Supplies:
- Wine glass
- Orange paint
- Green paint
- Paint brushes
- Black chalk marker or paint
- Fake candle (or real if you wish)
- Ribbon (optional)
Instructions:
- Lay down either paper towels or newspapers on your surface. This will make for easy clean up.
- Pour out a little bit of both the green and orange paint onto a plate.
- Paint the top half of your glass with the orange paint. Paint the base of the glass with the green paint. Let this dry.
- Repeat this process roughly 3 times until your glass is painted to your desired darkness.
- Let the glass dry over night.
- Once the paint is completely dry take a pencil and draw the face on the pumpkin.
- Once you have an outline, go over it with a black chalk marker or paint and fill it in.
- Optional: Add ribbon around the glass.
- Place your candle on the top of the glass.
- Place them around your house as a cute Fall decoration.
Tips:
- Place a paper towel or newspaper underneath your cup to prevent making a mess.
- Use a pencil to outline your pumpkin face, so it gives you a good guideline to follow when using the black marker.
- Make sure each coat of paint dries completely before doing another layer.
- Let the paint dry completely over night before drawing the face.
- Use a real wine glass made out of glass, not plastic.
