No Camera, No Problem!

How to take camera quality photos with your digital camera at your disposal

Make sure your camera lens is clean!

Making sure you have a clean camera lens is the first crucial step of taking photos. Have you ever taken a photo and be like “I love the photo, but I feel like I can’t see my face as well.” This could be caused by a blurry camera, so if you wipe it down and check before you take a photo it can save many headaches later!

Another impact of taking blurry images on your phone will also make it harder to print it out. I won’t get all technical, but the lower the “quality of the pixels” the harder it is to size it up. I know a lot of people who have wanted to blow up a photo for their wall and when they go to print it. it has a warning that it may come out blurry. Checking your lens will also decrease this significantly!

Choose what you want to photograph & choose your angles accordingly!

There is always an opportunity to capture an amazing photo! You just need to choose an angle that you would want to photograph. There is no general rule of what makes a good photo, there are some tips and tricks that majority of photographers follow, but an average person doesn’t need to follow that. One things I tell people is always take a photo in the most appeasing angle that you can find and try different angles! You can always take numerous photos in different angles and choose the one you best like!

Basic Angles you could try next time you take images

  1. Shoot from the ground up
  2. Shoot from the sky downwards
  3. Get up close and personal!
  4. Focus on one aspect of the subject and make that your focal point

Check the Lighting of the area around you!

Whether you are in a dark or bright lighted area you can take beautiful photos. How the quality of the photo turns out is based off of how much light is going into the camera lens, the less light going into your camera, the more chance for it to be blurry. Recent phones have come up with called Night Mode, which adjusts the exposure into the camera lens, that lets you capture more parts of your image with less blur and higher quality. It does that by slowing down how fast the camera takes a photo so it can let more light in the images.

Have a passion!

I see so many people who love photography who find it hard to get into it. I say take one big leap into photography! What is the worst thing that is going to happen? You are going to love it! It is a constant exploration of different angles and thinking outside of the box and you never know what creative way you can see something until you capture that picture! Take one leap of faith!

Try it out! Below you will see photos that I have captured just on my phone!
