Surviving Long Layovers how do you do it? We’ve all been there-the inevitable long layovers. but how do you get through them without losing it? here is my best advice to survive those long layovers.
Plan Ahead
see if the airport offers any Accommodations or free lounges. Some may keep you entertained the whole time in them.
If it is an Extremely long layover consider checking your bag so you can leave and explore whatever city you are in. i would consider checking a facebook page (i recommend girls love travel) and see if other Experienced travelers have advice.
stay entertained
my favorite thing is explore the airport! maybe i am easily entertained but you can really get your steps in before getting stuck on a plane. find fun food places and people watch.
read a nice book (or watch a show) and enjoy some snacks. time goes by fast when you get lost in pages or a movie. plus use up all the wifi you can before you are phone deprived on the plane.
stay rested and healthy
airport nap-risky game. first if you are traveling solo be careful of theft, and make sure to not oversleep! would not be a great nap to wake up and see your flight taking off.
long layovers and traveling can be hard on your body. make sure you are stretching and moving periodically. stay hydrated and fed (don’t need to be hangry) to keep your body ready to keep traveling.
Long layovers can make traveling cheaper, but it is important to be able to keep surviving the long layovers. I hope these tips helped you be able to stay entertained and keep your body from hitting a travel wall. Every airport is different so also be mindful about where your layover is.
