As I’m getting closer to graduation I plan on running my own coffee trailer as soon as I graduate. Starting January 1st I begin the process of starting my own coffee trailer. Here’s a list of what I’m doing to get my coffee trailer started.

- First thing is first you want to have a business plan or idea to start. Want to find something you want to copy but make it your own.
- Find a trailer that fits your business plan. Then you will want to figure out how you want to lay it out. I recommend getting exact measurements and then if you have the ability draw it out if not there’s softwares out there you can use to map out the layout.
- Equipment. Research what will fit your trailer the best. You will need an espresso machine, grinder, brewing device, coffee beans finding a vendor to work with for beans, refrigerators, milk frothers, sinks, stortgage for cups/lids, POS system.
- Want to brand your trailer. Figuring out what color scheme you want, a logo, a brand name.
- Legal and Health Requirements, you want to get all your licenses and permits based on what state you live in as well as county.
- As you are first starting out marketing will be very important and how you go about it. Depending on your business plan it can be different for everyone. Being able to figure out what works best for you and your business.
