The Mens NCAA March madness tournament has started up and there is already some great basketball teams that are making a big name for themselves. There are also teams trying to prove them selves as a threat so far in the bracket. This article will break down the teams that have the best chance a going far and what they are doing right so far.
Auburn Tigers
This one really is a no brainer. Bruce pearl has this team playing amazing and they are playing great together. They might be old but experience is key to getting you far in the tournament. Auburn are led by amazing coaching and also a candidate for player of the year in Johni Broome. They have had two pretty easy games so far but will have a big test coming up against the Michigan wolverines on the 28th. They have been quite possibly one of the best basketball teams in the country.
Duke Blue Devils
Duke is another obvious option by many people to go far. They have everything such as young talent vet experience and good coaching with a good bench. With Flagg’s health being questionable, Duke proved they can still win without him in the ACC championship. 3 point percentage will help duke a-lot and if they can continue to shoot well, they are very easily a final four caliber team. Duke will have a good match up against Caleb love and Arizona, a game that will defiantly live up to the hype.
Florida Gators
One seeds are really thriving this year in the tournament and they are not showing much sign of slowing down. Florida is one of those teams. They just beat the back to back champs and are playing amazing. The Gators have height, scorers, defense, everything you need to be a title winning basketball team. They are one of many dominant SEC teams in the sweet 16. If they are able to survive that elite conference they defiantly have the ability to go very far in March.
Houston Cougars
Houston is yet another one seed that is just controlling their side of the bracket. They are putting up good points and led by greats players such as LJ Cryer and J’Wan Roberts. Houston controlled a difficult Big 12 conference this year and are not showing any signs of slowing down. They shoot good from every where around the floor and a great at sharing the ball. If they play the same ball they have been playing, they will have success over Purdue and other basketball teams in the future.
Michigan Wolverines
Michigan is a team that is a 5 seed, but second round they played like a one seed. They rolled passed a very talented basketball team in Texas A&M beating them by almost 20. They struggled a little bit in their first round but really turned it around in the round of 32. They are great at limiting turn overs and having amazing ball movement during the entire game. They are just coming off of the Big 10 championship win and have lots of momentum. Michigan will have the ultimate test against the Auburn tigers and should be a very entertain game in all aspects of basketball.
